Punjab Food Department Additional Secretary Tariq Hussain Bhatti has said that the Punjab government is supplying wheat on a large scale throughout the province after which no one can say that there is any wheat crisis in the province. The Punjab government is trying to supply wheat across the province so that the situation gets under control. In response to a question, Tariq Hussain Bhatti said that the crushing season of sugar has arrived, “we will provide sugar for the domestic level, which will reduce the price of sugar, and secondly, we will not import sugar from foreign countries.” He further said that strict departmental action will be taken against any company found involved in sugar smuggling or any other activity.
